The project involved the completed interior refurbishment and remodelling of existing Bank of Ireland Branches in collaboration with Bank of Ireland Architects.

With an increase in the use of online Banking and a resultant decrease in the need for Cash and other in-branch services, Bank of Ireland were anxious to maximise the use of surplus space in the Branch network. They introduced the “Workbench” Model, which is a unique concept, which connects entrepreneurs, bank staff and community by offering free dedicated space for co-working, seminars, clinics and events to encourage innovation and new ideas.

The layouts provide for waiting areas, enhanced Self Service/Express Banking, reduced Cashier Area, work bench areas with desking, coffee dock and break out area and cellular office accommodation.

Finishes are contemporary in nature, with exposed ceiling services, vinyl and carpet flooring, exposed concrete and brickwork, ceiling raft feature and frameless glazing.

The completed refurbishment has been well received by the Banks customers and staff alike and has proven to be a commercial success for the Bank of Ireland.
